Cancer

Cancer

Cancer causes cells in the body to grow and reproduce uncontrollably. The cancerous cells can invade and destroy surrounding healthy tissue, including organs. Cancer sometimes begins in one part of the body before spreading to other areas.

Although there are over 200 types of cancer, the 4 most common types in the UK are breast, lung, prostate and bowel cancer.
