Local consumer champion for health and social care. They listen to local people and report what they find, so to help improve and integrate better provision for the community. They’re not healthcare experts, just committed people in the community who have the authority to make your views heard and campaign for change.

Healthwatch work in partnership with the Local Authority and Clinical Commissioning Group and are mindful of local strategies

    

Healthwatch try to underpin all of their work on one of Healthwatch England’s 8 consumer principles; right to essential services; access, safe, dignified and quality service; information and education; choice;  being listened to; being involved; a healthy environment.
